The day started off bright and sunny though bitterly cold. However
by 2.15pm the rain/ snow clouds could be seen coming over the hills
so Helen Kerr, wife of President, Dougie Kerr threw the first jack
of the season and everyone retreated into the clubhouse. Twenty minutes
later the weather changed again as the sun shone so the hardy bowlers
picked their numbers and played their first game of the season.

Work is still taking place to repair the flood damage to the main
clubhouse so the West Clubhouse has been refurbished as a temporary
home for the bowlers. It is hoped that the damage will be repaired
and the main clubhouse re-opened in 6 weeks.
